Melody Saccone

Melody Saccone is a freelance artist from central New Jersey. She has B.F.A. and a minor in art history from The College of New Jersey. Having a fine artist for a mother, her interest in art started as far back as her memory goes. Having access to so many of her mother’s drawing and anatomy books, Melody developed a love of the human form and its representation. For much of her life her works were based in detailed pen and ink drawings that carried with them an illustrative quality, often inspired by other artistic media such as but not limited to music and poetry. When she met her husband, John, his love of street art and the abstract forced her to open her more rigid artistic mind. Her love of the figure can still be seen throughout all of her work. She now uses a wide range of media including spray paint, decoupage, word work, acrylic paint, and pen to create works that are meant to illustrate part of a larger story. It is up to the viewer to determine what the rest of the story is. Along this same vein, she is involved in an artistic project with her brother, Josh Page, a writer. Their site, TV Movie Project, is a collaboration of poetry and drawings. After meeting Addison Vincent through mutual friend, Bobby Bates, her and her husband didn’t hesitate to combine all four of their efforts into one force…Allegory Lab Art Collective.

She has created illustrative work for businesses as well as fine art pieces and illustrations for private collections. Melody’s work was recently shown at Artworks Trenton and Veridian Gallery in Pennington, NJ.
