Aware Acupuncture
At Aware Acupuncture, Diane L. Ailey, L.Ac., Dipl.Ac., treats a variety of physical and emotional disorders using acupuncture, medical massage, cupping, and other healing modalities. Diane’s practice of acupuncture concentrates on healing body, mind, and spirit with Traditional Chinese Medicine and 5 Element acupuncture techniques.
Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese healing art that has been practiced for over three thousand years. It is based on the classical Chinese theory that Qi (energy) flows through meridians (channels) throughout the body, nourishing the body’s tissue (organs, skin, muscles, etc.) while maintaining a healthful constitution. When energy is obstructed, disease may results.
From a Western medical perspective, acupuncture stimulates the nervous system releasing chemicals that may change the perceived experience of pain or trigger the release of specific hormones that encourage the body’s innate mechanism to maintain homeostasis. By improving the body’s biochemical balance, acupuncture promotes physical and emotional health.
Business Hours: Weekday and weekend appointments available. Hours by appointment. Beginning May, 2014, Community Acupuncture Sessions will be held on the second Thursday of the month from 5 PM to 7 PM. Call to reserve your place for this monthly event. Experience acupuncture in a group setting, at a reduced price. These sessions are excellent for stress reduction and relaxation.
