Biography

She began her studies in Graphic and Product communication design in Kyoto, Japan at Seika University, and later professional photography in Osaka. To seek more creative opportunities and to experience a different, unique approach to art, she moved to New York in the winter of 2004. She started working for the Japanese artist Hiroki Otsuka, as well as the artist Malcos, in various painting and sculpting projects. In 2005 she was hired by the New York-based graphic design company Berrymatch, LLC and Nooka, Inc., a high end designer watch company, doing graphic and product design, corporate identity design, and advertisement. She later began to work for Adoah, LLC in 2008 creating modern fashion rug and carpet designs. However, her passion remains for painting. In recent works she has combined painting with graphic design; for the upcoming independent movie "Uwaki" by Devin Haqq, she created illustrations for movie frames and image boards, graphic and logo design, and assisted with website design; for the album release of musician Matt Macaulay, she designed the entire album, CD cover, and painting for the album front and back cover. In her latest works she is creating designs for shirts and totes for a fashion boutique, and making backdrop art and animation for a runway fashion show. She continues to paint in freelance work and for pleasure.
