Charles McCollough
Biography
After Charles McCollough completed his PhD in at Drew University in New Jersey, he worked as the director for adult education for the United Church of Christ in New York. Then he served on the national staff of the UCC as an advocate for social justice in Washington, D.C. He also has taught art and social ethics in colleges and seminaries.
Meanwhile, McCollough pursued his love for art, studying sculpture at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Johnson Atelier, and Mercer College. He has been resident artist at four seminaries three of which have his works on permanent display. He has had numerous solo exhibits in Washington, D. C., New York, Boston, and the Princeton, area, winning many commissions and awards. He is the author of seven books, that last of which is The Art of Parables (2008) which is illustrated with images of his sculptures.
